The Law of Attraction + H.E.A.R.T = SUCCESS

To be successful, there are truly only two things a person needs to accomplish their goal(s); an understanding of the Law of Attraction and H.E.A.R.T, and how to implement both at the same time.

The Law of Attraction is placing a goal in your mind and not letting anything get between you and your goal.

H.E.A.R.T is defined as Having Enough Attitude Resilience &Toughness.

For a better understanding of this relationship and how it can lead you to success, check out our latest podcast; and listen to one of our real life stories about how the Law of Attraction and having H.E.A.R.T led to accomplishment of a long term goal.

07MAR16 0153

I've decided to chronicle my journey as an entrepreneur from the botoom to my goal of running a sucessful business. I'm doing this in hopes of providing not just a blueprint for others to emulate, but as a way of showing anyone who is interested, the ups and downs of the DIY (doing it yourself) method/model. And also, when we do make it, that this wasn't luck. At all...

I will try to be as transparent and honest as possible. Some things will be embarrassing, some depressing, some cool, possibly paint dry boring, but most importantly, open and honest.

Starting a business is not only stressful and agonizing at times, but it's also fun. It's really a parallel of life; the same way sports are. The basic concept of H.E.A.R.T (Having Enough Attitude Resilience & Toughness) that helps you succeed in sports is the same thing you need in life as well as in business.

I hope you guys enjoy the ride. I can't promise you anything other than I'm going to grind my ass off, and the only thing that will make me quit is death...

"You are, what you eat" Swag

So it's here. The "You are, what you eat" swag.

The design is simple enough. The concept is that "you are what you eat". As an athlete, the most important meal of the day is breakfast. Your day should always start with it, and to be the best, you have to eat the best to be at your best...

This is why we have designed the shirt specifically for teams and players who have won any sort of battle. Whether it's a Pop Warner, Conference, County, Regional, State or National Championship. It doesn't matter. A championship is a championship. And you deserve the right to display it (humbly, of course).

If you are, truly, what you eat, then champions eat what they're made of. Everything you eat is used and broken down by your body. The attributes and composition which you are made of, enabled you to win. THESE are the key ingredients which produced your victory. Why wouldn't you want to replenish them every morning?

Winning is everything or the only thing. The will to WANT to win is. Learning from defeat is as well. Doing the right thing over and over until it becomes habit is what enables you to fight through adversity and to become a Champion. And every champion eats breakfast.

3 Steps to Success

I you want to be successful, in any endeavor, there are 3 steps you have to take.

1. Set an end goal

To know where you're going is a hell of a lot easier when you know where you want to go.

2. Make a plan, then work the hell out of it

Plans always change, always. But it's a lot easier to adapt then to create something out of the blue. Make a plan, work the plan, adjust the plan, complete the plan.

3. Persevere

Life's tough, but it's a whole lot tougher when it knows you'll quit. Life isn't here to be your friend. Life enjoys throwing you lemons. Take those same lemons and make some leomonade.

How much do you need...?

What is H.E.A.R.T? I define it as Having Enough Attitude Resilience & Toughness. Seems pretty straight forward. But the most important part of this definition is the "Enough" part.

What's enough for me may not be enough for you and vice versa. We all need to evaluate ourselves correctly and realize just what is enough for us.

Don't worry about anyone else, worry about you. Get through your day, game, practice, work schedule, homework, etc.

Be the best you can be. You do this by continuously moving forward and playing with H.E.A.R.T!

Never Go Down Without a Fight

I was taking a break this morning from work and I came across this little gem on the internet.  I love plays like this because it's part skill, part luck and part determination.  It would have been easy for the QB to take the sack, but even as he was going down he KNEW where his receiver would be.  Now don't get me wrong, throwing in this situation is wrong...absolutely wrong and usually winds up being intercepted.  But it worked, because of practice and determination.  Sometimes you have to go against the grain to achieve your goals.

New year...Same expectations

Everybody knows I'm from New Jersey.  I have nothing but love for my Haddon Heights teammates and the Garnets...but, it was just meant to be for me to have the opportunity to be a Linganore Lancer.  When my parents divorced, my Pops stayed in Mt. Airy and my Moms moved to Jersey.  So even before I was old enough to appreciate the "tradition" of a true powerhouse team, I was already a part of it.  At Linganore, anything short of a Chip (Championship) is viewed as failure.  I came across this quote on the MVAL website, "Some teams would view a 7-3 record a successful season. Not the Lancers. Anything less than a state championship run is viewed as sub-par in Mt. Airy. Coach Rick Conner believes if the Lancers stay healthy they can compete. Maryland commit RB Joe Riddle will lead the Lancers. The I-70 rivalry with Urbana could settle the conference title and a playoff spot in the ultra-tough "region of death" (3A West). Coach Conner and the Lancers know a 7-3 record will not be good enough to get Linganore into the playoffs in 2011, so every regular season game is a playoff game to them".  With Championships in the 80's, 90's and 00's, winning (7-3) is acceptable...Championships are.  Aim for the moon, if you miss, you're still among the stars...aim for the ground and you'll probably wind up in the gutter.

Motivation vs. Showering

It doesn't matter how motivated you are on Monday, if by Tuesday afternoon you're back to the same place you were Sunday evening...think about that.  Being motivated, whether it's to pass a test, take on a pulling guard, go to work, start your own business or whatever, you have to constantly motivate yourself in an attempt to reach your goal.  Let's look at taking a shower.  Taking a shower works (for most people) for a specific amount of time (this is why we shower EVERYDAY).  What good would it do to take a shower on Monday and then proceed through the rest of the week off of that one shower.  I'm guessing, and this is only a guess, that the rest of the week wouldn't produce the results that you were looking for.  The same goes for motivation.  You have to get up in the morning, each and every morning, with the thought that motivating yourself is the same as when you get up, brush your teeth and take a shower.  I understand there are going to be times when you don't want to do it and it seems difficult, but imagine that same train of thought when it comes to brushing your teeth or taking a shower.  Would you step out of your front door and converse with people in that instance?  Treat motivation like a daily chore you do everyday (eating breakfast, brushing teeth, showering, etc.) and sooner or later, you'll be up and running like a well oiled machine.  Although at times well oiled machines need maintenance, it's usually running at a high level constantly and this is what you should strive for.  This is what I strive for and what my company hopes it can make YOU strive for.  So in short, get up, get going and go get it.
