Making it to the Big Dance involves more than just a talented squad. Don't believe us, ask Syracuse...Punching your ticket to the tourney happens one of two ways, you either play your H.E.A.R.T out all season long, presenting the committee with a resume of hard fought wins; or you win your conference tournament and get an automatic spot.
Either way, the Dance is filled with teams of players who leave everything out on the court. They have to to prepare them for this moment. One loss and you're done. Finished. Finito. It takes a boatload of H.E.A.R.T to walk onto a court and know, not think, but know, that if you lose that's it. There is no running it back. No do overs. No nothing. That's it.
As difficult as it is to get into the tournament, there are two games that allow a few extra teams into the mix. Knowing how hard it is to make it and the chances of them moving on aren't that great, these teams still show up and ball out because they know it's about Having Enough Attitude Resilience and Toughness. And when you play with H.E.A.R.T, nothing else matters. Not how big, fast, smart, game ready etc. The only thing that matters is the name on the front of your jersey and what's inside your chest.
Don't forget to watch the play-in games March 14th.

I will try to be as transparent and honest as possible. Some things will be embarrassing, some depressing, some cool, possibly paint dry boring, but most importantly, open and honest.
Starting a business is not only stressful and agonizing at times, but it's also fun. It's really a parallel of life; the same way sports are. The basic concept of H.E.A.R.T (Having Enough Attitude Resilience & Toughness) that helps you succeed in sports is the same thing you need in life as well as in business.
I hope you guys enjoy the ride. I can't promise you anything other than I'm going to grind my ass off, and the only thing that will make me quit is death...

"You are, what you eat" Swag
So it's here. The "You are, what you eat" swag.
The design is simple enough. The concept is that "you are what you eat". As an athlete, the most important meal of the day is breakfast. Your day should always start with it, and to be the best, you have to eat the best to be at your best...
This is why we have designed the shirt specifically for teams and players who have won any sort of battle. Whether it's a Pop Warner, Conference, County, Regional, State or National Championship. It doesn't matter. A championship is a championship. And you deserve the right to display it (humbly, of course).
If you are, truly, what you eat, then champions eat what they're made of. Everything you eat is used and broken down by your body. The attributes and composition which you are made of, enabled you to win. THESE are the key ingredients which produced your victory. Why wouldn't you want to replenish them every morning?
Winning is everything or the only thing. The will to WANT to win is. Learning from defeat is as well. Doing the right thing over and over until it becomes habit is what enables you to fight through adversity and to become a Champion. And every champion eats breakfast.

End of Week Update
Not a bad week for H.E.A.R.T Athletics.
It started off a little slow, but we finished well. We have a couple of meetings set up for next week about product placement for our UNR H.E.A.R.T Helmet Hoody. Needless to say I'm really excited about this.
In the upcoming weeks we have two big Pop Warner events where we will be able to market the hoody to a huge audience. Also, our first High School hoody (for Bishop Manogue) is finally complete.
So in short, it wasn't a bad week, but...The grind doesn't stop.
